What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Kyobo Bookstore Gwanghwamun is celebrated as Korea's largest bookstore, offering an impressive selection of both Korean and international books, especially English titles. Visitors rave about the vast 'Hottracks' section filled with unique stationery and gifts, and appreciate the store's central location and cultural exhibits. Some wish for more comfortable reading areas, but the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.
"Wonderful large book Centre with a fair amount of English books. There's a small section with luxurious stationery including a rubber stamps collection. I only saw 3 stamps of a Korean brand, the rest is Japanese and there's a selection of the American brand 100 proof press (for those who are familiar with stamps).
There's another section with more affordable stationery.
There's a Starbucks, and a reading table inside the centre. But unfortunately no comfortable seating for reading. That would have been amazing to top it off.
Friendly, English speaking staff."

"I can’t explain how much I love this place! 😫
It has a lot of options in English too! And it’s so far the biggest library I’ve been to! Love the palace and historical places surrounding it! Definitely a good stop to grab a good coffee + books! (And a little bit of everything hehe lots of cute things and small pop-ups) 🇰🇷"

"Better experienced. This book store reminds me MPH and Kinokuniya. I enjoy to be there. Books also available with affordable price. The most important things might be the previous printed and best seller books you can found it like me ❤️🙂😊."
