What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pangyo Techno Valley is widely recognized as South Korea's premier hub for IT and biotech innovation, lauded for its impressive modern architecture and dynamic startup scene. While it's a thriving business district, visitors appreciate the opportunity to witness cutting-edge design and the energy of future technologies. Some may find it less engaging for casual tourism compared to traditional attractions.
"I have tried the DR750S-2CH dashcam and the battery pack since 2017 and since then only the first 2 years were great. As time went on the camera is no longer supported as well as no longer sold. I cannot continue a long-term relationship with a company that doesn't support their equipment. The connections are not easy anymore whether it's through the cloud or though it's Wi-Fi since firmware/software updates and changes in Pittasoft's services over the years. Pittasoft stops supporting their own equipment after a period of time and it's expensive to replace. All it's good for is its deterrence at this point. I'll be leaving my reviews and moving on. Made in America for now on. Thanks for a little bit."

"An awesome testbed of Korean IT (info tech) and BT (biotech) valley, arguably Future of Korean Startup."

"This is arguably the Silicon Valley of South Korea. Pangyo, “flat bridge” in Korean, used to indicate the flat wood board bridge that was used to go across the Unjung stream. Pangyo, located at the south outskirts of Seoul, this location used to be a popular summer house destination for the wealthy. Korea’s first interstate highway ( which is the highway number 1) had the first exit at Pangyo making this place an ideal location for the summer heat exodus location. Today, it is the IT and BT hub of Korea. Concentration of IT and BT companies is 1,300 (2017 data) and its annual GDRP is 67.25 billion US dollars (2018 data) slightly above Busan, nation’s second largest city. It is here most of Korea’s best and brightest start-ups are located (see Born2Global webpage). Furthermore, architectural experiment and achievement recently completed here is also worth mentioning. Premier British Architectural firm Foster and Partners’, USA’s NBBJ’s, Japan’s Nikken Sekkei’s designed buildings are either built or under construction here. In addition, West Pangyo has about 1500 single family housing that are more or less designed by top Korean architects. Due to Pangyo Techno Valley Phase 1’s success, Korean Government has announced to develop Pangyo Techno Valley phase 2 and 3. Phase 2 is already under construction. Size-wise, it is not as big as Shenzen or Palo Aalto, but it is definitely bigger than Kendall Square of Cambridge MA or South Lake Union of Seattle."
