Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Jungang Market for its incredibly fresh seafood and the unique 'choose and cook' experience, often highlighting it as a more affordable and authentic alternative to restaurants. The friendly vendors and the opportunity to select your own catch are major draws, though some find the Korean cooking style limiting if they prefer other preparations.

"We went there cause we saw online there was a possibility to eat in the market. It is true!!!! You choose the fish and the seafood you want downstairs and you bring it up to be cooked. Wow the sashimi and no words about the huge clams. They don’t waste anything, they made us a soup with the bones of the fish! We had a wonderful woman that spoke english there to help us! but everyone is very nice, they won’t have a problem with the translator. DEFINITELY a must try in Yeosu!!!!!!"

"So much fish and so much variety. If you love seafood, you will love this place in the south Eastern coastline of Korea."

Garry Folcarelli

"Got our shellfish from a nice lady on the main floor...prices are reasonable and she gave us some extra too.
Went up to the 2nd floor and they prepared the shellfish for us. Very good~~ so much better than the pocha restaurants. Better price and much fresh than pocha restaurants.
You can get live octopus and other fishes. We had enough octopus.
Great experience and would definitely recommended it. 👍😋❤️"
