Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Korean Folk Village for its immersive traditional atmosphere and engaging cultural performances. It's a great escape from the city bustle, offering a glimpse into Joseon Dynasty life. Some note that it can be a full-day commitment and recommend checking performance schedules, especially during off-peak seasons.

"My wife and I visited on a Tuesday early afternoon, 6/10/2025, as part of a day tour package. This park had many recreations of buildings and tools of Korean life from many years ago. The parking lot was no more than a third full, so many food and souvenir shops were not open throughout the park. That was fine for us, because the best parts of the park, the scenery, the traditional buildings and gardens, were not crowded and allowed us to stroll and take many photos and selfies with almost no one around. The best part of our visit was the live traditional dance performance at 4 pm. There were many live performances scheduled throughout the day at several areas of the park, but we could only see the 4 pm show because of our limited time with the tour."

"This is a theme park of Korea during the Joseon dynasty. Mostly it’s old style houses from different regions and social classes, very interesting if you are into that sort of thing. There are some music or dance shows throughout the day, I would highly recommend to see them. There is also a mini world museum with photos and artifacts from all over the world. There is an also a carnival part with attractions for kids, a museum of Korea, a few restaurants, shops and some activities to do like horse riding or archery. A lot of things are closed during the weekdays tho, like the horror experience house. I would say it’s a nice experience if you have some extra days in Seoul and you really want to learn more about the history of the country. My only suggestion would be to add more activities for adults, there are some things to do but it felt like half were designed for kids. For a better reference I would suggest to look at Edo World close to Tokyo in Japan."

"We were lucky to see a traditional Korean wedding, it was beautiful dancing. The village is fun for adults and kids, you can put yourself in the time of the Joseon dynasty and just walk around to see how people lived. There are a lot of activities for kids as well, they will have fun in the water park in the Summer. People can make pottery in the workshop. There is a decent amount of food to choose from as well, which is pretty good (not gourmet but tasted ok). There are some exhibits to help you understand what life was like during the Joseon dynasty. There is a rental place so you can dress in Hanbok if you want to embrace the history (many people do). We visited on a weekday so it wasn't super busy, this is what I'd recommend."
