"Lovely interesting place to visit highly recommend. Lots of history, run and owned by a young family who are working hard to restore and bring back to life a glimpse of its past for everyone to enjoy. Also solely run on donations. A labour of love on their part."

Lorraine Kenyon

"We were delighted to visit this historic fort, later used as a local tomato packaging facility and bakery. The owner's daughter was extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the place's history and her family ties with it over past decades. Even though it's privately owned, there are no tickets, so dotantions are welcome and will go towards the expensive renovations."
