"Get to knoe the origins of modern day Alicante through this early Iberian settlement, taken over by the Punics, Romans, Muslims then abandonned and almost entirely devoured by modern buildings
Well worth taking the guided tour to get the full picture."
Sonja Little Marengo (The Queen)
"A very interesting old Roman town, well laid out, lots of good information boards that give you an idea of how things would have been. A couple of nice touches like where they found human and animal footprints, seeing the wheel ruts on the gates, and part of an old metal statue they found. Keep an eye on the closing times, we visited on a Sunday and it closes at 2.
The employees were so friendly and helpful, I would highly recommend.
It's not huge so you could go around quite quickly if you wanted, or spend maybe up to a couple of hours. Metro close by"

"Super interesting spot if you are into history and archeology. I really enjoyed informative plaques, although would love to see more of them. I was there on an overcast day, so was fine, but keep in mind this place has next to no shade - bring an umbrella or schedule visit on a cooler day."
