"A place with a lot of charm and full of history! The Portal Vell of Altea is a must-see if you come to the town: cobblestone streets, corners with a lot of magic and views that will make you fall in love. It is perfect for a peaceful walk and enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere.
Of course, you have to take into account that in the summer it is quite hot and there are many climbs and stairs. We went there with our French bulldog and, due to his brachycephalic condition, the heat took its toll. Therefore, I highly recommend the visit, but better in cool hours or outside the hottest months if you come with dogs of this type.
In short, a 100% recommendable place to enjoy Altea and get lost in its streets full of history and charm."
