What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Isla Canela Links is a demanding golf course that rewards accuracy, especially with its prevalent winds. While it offers scenic river views and friendly staff, visitors note a lack of on-course amenities like buggies and halfway houses, requiring players to be well-prepared. The greens are generally in good condition, making it a solid choice for golfers seeking a challenge.
"Funny little number - stayed at the hotel down the road and played this on the Saturday, somehow were the first people on the course for a 10am tee time. Little bit bare bones in the pro shop, but the staff were friendly enough when we rocked up.
Course was in decent nick, but a halfway house or a drinks cart wouldn’t have gone amiss, given it’s 25 degrees. Ended up sending one group ahead to empty the fridges and bring some Mahous back. Buggies also heavily speed limited so I didn’t bother trying to get any air driving into the lake."

"Proper golfers would love this course. It was windy and if you can't hit it straight it will punish you. Greens are decent and the tees fairly flat and good quality. Good views of the river on back nine. Makes you feel like you are playing Littlestone in the sunshine."

"Course was in ok condition and a nice lay out. However a total lack of buggies here. I've never been to a course in Spain that doesn't have enough buggies for all, they also have no halfway house and no drinks buggy. It was so hot and no way of getting any liquid."
