What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Platja del Coco is praised for its relaxed atmosphere, stunning sunsets, and easy accessibility via public transport, making it a less crowded alternative to Barcelona's main beaches. While the sand is granular and the water can sometimes be affected by rain, the presence of amenities and beach bars adds to its appeal. Some visitors found the ice cream offerings uninspired, but overall, it's a peaceful and enjoyable seaside escape.
"Good naturist beach easy to get to it number 7 and nudists spread to 8 and 9 as well. Sand is granular not fine but ok with a towel. Waves sometimes play games with you as your feet sink in the sand. Lots of cafes and some shops above. Bit disappointed by the ice cream seller rather boring over cream."

"This is the least busy beach in Barcelona with easy transport routes for both the Metro and buses.
My boyfriend and I spent a long time here and did not get harassed by a seller (thank god). It was super peaceful, safe, and quiet.
The sand is fine and has no litter, the water was very rocky when we arrived but it’s a beautiful clear blue colour.
If you’re looking for places to eat, there are many outdoor restaurants around the place, some are pricey but we found one that’s cheap. Love the vibe! La vida en la playa!"

"Summer, 2023
So this is Mediterranean, stunning. Arrived at 4PM, it was still very bright and not burning hot, we stayed here enjoyed the air and the ocean, sun start to set around 8PM, mild orange color in the blue sky, it's so beautiful. Most beaches in Barcelona are extremely crowded in Summer time, Platja del Coco is a bit away from the city so it's not that crowded which is a plus, it's very easy to reach by Metro."
