What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the absolutely gorgeous and astonishing views of the port, city, and sea, especially during sunrise and sunset. Many appreciate the tranquility and lack of crowds, making it a peaceful escape. Some note the hike can be challenging, and the nearby restaurant's hours are inconsistent.
"Absolutely gorgeous view!!
You can see the port, airports landing and all the chaos from standing in complete silence amongst nature.
If you do not mind walking for about 25-35 minutes, the hike is beautiful, wild and full of life. Otherwise, the bus is #150 is available, but the hours are limited. It is best to go at sunrise or sunset because you can see it perfectly from the top.
Everything is very clean, no garbage anywhere.
There are plenty of picnic tables and spaces to lay down.
Not crowded at all, there is a lot of space for everyone to take pictures and see the landscape without being suffocated or rushed.
There is a restaurant close but it is temporarily closed now.
Not a place that is very frequented by tourists but definitely a must see if you are in Barcelona!!"

"It is a beautiful place for sunset (on the right, over the cemetery, towards Tibidabu), but sunrises here (on the left) are even better. The sun rises behind the W hotel, and at these morning hours, the cruise ships enter the port; planes land every 3 minutes, but you sit on the top of the mountain among tranquility, loneliness, and quietness.
The terrace here has an industrial urban view of the cargo and Cruise port, but anyway, it is very romantic! If you mind climbing from the bottom to the top on foot (which is not difficult but not as easy as it looks), it can roughly take 40-45 minutes. Another option is bus #150 from Plaza Espagna, but the operating hours do not cover sunrise or sunset time (neither does the funicular). Here is free 24-hour parking, a picnic zone with wooden benches and tables, a fountain with drinking water, quietness (which I mentioned earlier), and calmness during summer. The temperature here is 3-4° less than downtown."

"Stunning views out over the Mediterranean across the busy Port of Barcelona. It's worth the climb up through Montjuic Park (one can drive most of the way up as well). After soaking in the views, be sure to get stop at Caseta del Migdia for food and drinks. After our hike up, cold beer and great views were an ample reward."
