What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Playa de Llevant is appreciated for its dedicated dog-friendly zone and its status as a quieter, more local beach compared to Barceloneta. However, ongoing construction can impact the experience, with some visitors noting noise and less-than-ideal sand conditions. Despite these drawbacks, many find it a valuable urban escape for relaxation and pet enjoyment.
"Nice enough beach but massive construction happening around the area so pretty difficult to access and not the most pleasant site. Would recommend going once construction has finished in a couple of months!
Lots of car parking available nearby."

"A quiet beach away from the tourist attractions, currently (sept 25) under construction so a lot of noise. Beach is not so great, sand is more like dust, no toilet or changing facilities, the typical run down area, only one shop near by, the sea is nice on a hot day. If you want to stay away from crowds you can try this beach not as nice as barceloneta but did felt safe as long as not belongings are on site
Also it does have lifeguards until 7pm"

"It's a rather scruffy sandy beach, located in the Diagonal area of Barcelona. Lots of construction going on close to the beach, so not a beautiful spot. However it was popular and had an enclosed area for children and where dogs weren't permitted. Worth a visit if you are in the area and are desperate for a swim."
