What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently rave about the Sercotel Rosellón Rooftop's spectacular, unobstructed views of the Sagrada Familia and the Barcelona skyline. The friendly hotel staff and convenient location are also frequently praised. However, some guests have reported issues with cleanliness in rooms and inconsistent service at the rooftop bar during busy periods.
"Sercotel Rosellón was perfect. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They emailed me when my room was ready and it was much earlier than the official check in time. I also received a late check out for 10 euros per hour, which felt very reasonable and absolutely worth it so I could enjoy the bed a little longer.
I had two separate reservations because I decided to extend my stay shortly before the trip. Even though the same room type was no longer available, they made the room change process very smooth. I was also able to have brunch on the roof right when I arrived without a reservation. The food was great and the view was amazing.
Both rooms I stayed in were clean, comfortable and well sized. One had a beautiful view of the Sagrada Família and the other did not have a view, but it was extremely cozy and the perfect size. I could not say better things about this hotel. I am definitely coming back for a longer stay."

"Our experience was outstanding! The staff is absolutely next level service, Kermen and Grace made sure we had everything we needed from tickets to local attractions, to maps, bus rides and a taxi waiting to take us to the airport, and even info to local pharmacies when we had to get cold medicines. We cannot recommend Rosellón enough. The room was spacious with an incredible view of Sagrada Família. The bed comfortable, ample closet space with a large bathroom. We will definitely be back. The photo was taken from our room."

"The location here is absolutely perfect! The rooftop bar has the best view of La Sagrada Familia!! The rooms are spacious but to be honest, I didn’t feel it was very clean, there were hairs I found in the bathroom in the shower and on the bathroom floor that didn’t make me feel too great about where else they could be. Also, when we went to the rooftop bar to check out the AMAZING 360 views of Barcelona, the service fell short. The hosts greeting people were nice but we had a server come by and grab our drink order and we never saw him come back to our side so we left after waiting 30 minutes and were over it. We walked from the hotel to Park Güell (highly recommend) and can see the hotel and views of the city from the park it was amazing. There was a restaurant we ate at 2 nights in a row Divan Divan because of their prices, amazing service and DELICIOUS food!! At night a group of guys walked through and did a performance so it was all perfection. I’d recommend this hotel for the location and views of La Sagrada and of Barcelona during the day and at night. It was an amazing experience! The hotel staff was also nice and the downstairs lounge area was really nice. The breakfast was really good that we added to our stay."

The Iconic Sagrada Familia View
Pro Tip: Visit during the 'golden hour' before sunset for breathtaking light that bathes the Sagrada Familia in a warm glow. The transition from day to night, with the city lights twinkling on, is also a magical experience. Be prepared for crowds during these popular times, and consider making a reservation to ensure you get a good vantage point.
Rooftop Experience: Ambiance and Service
However, traveler experiences with service can be varied. While many commend the friendly and helpful staff, particularly those at the front desk who assist with local attractions and bookings, some reviews mention slow service at the rooftop bar itself. One Reddit user noted waiting for 30 minutes without their drink order being taken, leading them to leave. It's advisable to be patient, especially during busy periods, or to try and catch the attention of staff proactively. The overall consensus is that the view often compensates for any minor service hiccups.
Hotel Stay vs. Rooftop Visit
For those not staying at the hotel, visiting the rooftop is still highly recommended. It provides access to the same incredible views and a chance to enjoy the atmosphere without the commitment of a hotel stay. While some reviews mention potential issues like cleanliness in rooms or slow rooftop service, the prime location and the unparalleled Sagrada Familia panorama remain the consistent highlights for both hotel guests and day visitors.
