What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Batería de Castillitos for its unique castle-like architecture, impressive historical cannons, and breathtaking coastal views. The free entry is a significant plus. Some note that the site could benefit from more information and better lighting in certain areas, and the access road, while improved, still requires careful driving.
"We had a wonderful day.
The weather was great at this time of the year ( late November) as it wasn't too hot.
There are many places to visit but be prepared to do some decent walking if you want to visit most of the Bateria de Castillitos.
It is also worth noting that there are some steep inclines to negotiate if you want to see all the buildings and a few of the tunnels lead out to almost sheer drops in the side of the cliffs ( DON'T let young children run through these tunnels).
The road up to the parking 🅿️ area is quite narrow and can be troublesome for larger vehicles (camper vans etc.) & it can be difficult to obtain a parking space.
Worth the drive/walk, good luck getting parked 👍"

"What an absolutely I would recommend a huge car because the roads are very thin. This does test ability and nerve, highly recommending this experience.
Completely free to get in and explore, I Would recommend a torch for some of it."

"What was once a scary bumpy trip up a mountain road is much improved now they have managed to resurface the road from bottom to top. Lots to explore but would benefit from more information boards and lighting in the underground tunnels but still worth a visit."
