Reviews Summary
Basurto Hospital Pavilions are recognized for their striking historic architecture and, for many, for the dedicated and kind staff. While some visitors praise the quality of care and efficient service, others report long wait times in emergency services and occasional communication challenges due to language barriers. Overall, it's a functional hospital with a notable architectural heritage.
"Well, what I conclude about psychiatrists: they are not competent, they only change medication plan among prescribed before and nothing more. Specialists barely speak English. When I asked to examine my sore throat because it is sick for 2 days and other muscular pain in the chest she didn’t react absolutely . It was disrespectful . Telling me that she is psychiatrist . But ok, call another doctor to check my physical issue. Nobody reacted. Only paracetamol was given. BUT IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE WITH A SORE THROAT. It is just simple as it it to check my throat. My friend who spoke Spanish even so he was not by my side.Bad bad and one more"

"Amazing, Beautiful a hospital. The buildings are very ancient. The hand surgeon doctors are good and successful."

"I don’t understand why all comments are so dramatic. I went to this hospital on a Saturday morning because I had a fever and severe throat pain so intense that I was not even able to talk, eat or sleep. I went to the emergency service and even if my case was not as urgent as other patients, I just had to wait about 3 hours to see the doctor who then gave me medicine, and now I feel so much better! All the staff was extremely kind and patient despite my inability to talk, my low level of Spanish and the busy time on Saturday morning. I even didn't have to pay a penny with my insurance card! I am so thankful to all the staff who received me I would like to say a huge thank you.
In my country (France) you have to wait way more than 2 or 3 hours in public hospital, the base is more 9 to 12 hours if it's not an emergency, and the staff is rude as hell.
I am not saying that the situation is perfect in Spain, but it's honestly much better than in other European countries.
I highly recommend this hospital 100/100."
