What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests appreciate the unique historical ambiance of the former monastery and its stunning Pyrenean location. The excellent breakfast buffet and friendly staff are frequently praised. However, some areas of the hotel and spa could benefit from refurbishment, and booking spa slots in advance is crucial to avoid disappointment.
"Beautiful hotel in need or some TLC. Our first room had a leak but the staff sorted that out quickly. The second room was a nicer size, everything worked well but everything is a bit run down, cracked, chipped, rust etc.
gym is the same, nice space and decent selection of machine but in need of a good clean and oil!
The spa is a nice space but is run down / over used / over crowded. They need to allow less people in at one time. Not all the equipment worked properly.
Dinner in the restaurant was initially very disappointing. The half board fixed menu is very limited, a few of the dishes should not have been served ( very under seasoned, over cooked, dry etc.) . After some back and forth we were able to order off the main many and the food was better.
Breakfast buffet was excellent, great spread."

"A nice hotel, however one major warning to potential guests - you must book a slot for the spa beforehand - despite this not being written on neither the hotel website, booking.com nor Google. We were told that yes, the spa was open when we checked in. However, we were very disappointed to learn when trying to enter the spa that reservation was required and that there was no space available. Given we booked this hotel because of it's nice spa, and that we couldn't access it, we felt short changed and that the overall cost of our stay was not worth it."

"We absolutely love the place! Especially the street cat that lives in the back of the building.. we bought him a food and water dispenser and we hope and would love it if others could sometimes fill it up with water and kibble! Very gentle and sweet cat.
The hotel is great also, good food, vegetarian options, great breakfast, friendly people, nice area to walk, we love it and booked an extra day!! 😍❤️"
