"Sometimes it is better to walk through a city than to stay there. As I did this morning. I had booked Romeros on a whim, intuition even. I'm happy to have listened. For as soon as I opened the door I was embraced by the warm ambience and greeting a lot like Pension San.Lorenzo in Najera. Quaint slightly old fashioned style. Good food! The owners, two brothers and there mother, treat you like relatives. Don't wait for intuition, book with purpose. Do visit the shrine of SAN AMARO in the walled off garden behind Romeros. Cities are for tourist Puerto Romeros is for pilgrims.
