"Very beautiful. The water is crystal clear, and also much cleaner then the more popular coves. The walk there is a little confusing at points, (I recommend that you follow the wooden posts) but it's entirely worth it. The walk is also quite dangerous at points, so I'd suggest travelling by boat if you have younger children."

The Journey: Hiking vs. Boating
For a more relaxed and accessible experience, hiring a boat is a popular alternative. This allows you to bypass the strenuous hike and arrive directly at the secluded cove, ready to enjoy its tranquility. Many visitors opt for this method, especially if traveling with children or seeking to maximize their beach time without the exertion of the trek. The choice between hiking and boating ultimately depends on your fitness level, travel companions, and desired experience. Both offer a unique way to appreciate the natural beauty of Cala Escorxada.
Understanding the Sand Situation
This variability is part of what keeps Cala Escorxada feeling wild and untouched. It's a reminder of nature's constant flux. If a pristine sandy beach is your absolute priority, it might be worth checking recent visitor photos or social media posts just before your trip. However, even without abundant sand, the cove's incredibly clear, blue waters and its secluded, natural ambiance remain a significant draw. The overall beauty of the bay and the cleaner water compared to more popular spots are consistently praised, regardless of the sand's presence.
