The views are simply stunning and there is plenty of exploring to be done also.

Don't be put off by the walk, we saw all different ages and abilities making the climb, with walking poles where needed.

"Great excursion. A 3 km walk through cypress forests with beautiful views in between. And on the top gorgeous...
Parking for free no costs"

"If you are in the area and love historic military buildings then this is really worth a visit!!
Note satnav will show a road that takes you right to the site but this isn't a road you can drive up and instead you need to park and walk a good 30/40 minutes up a slight incline, gravel track. Its part of the experience tbh and a lovely walk with some spectacular views on the way. When you get there it's a fantastic ex military installation with two very large guns and a lot of semi ruined buildings you can explore. There aren't any exhibitions or display boards so what you see is what you get and you definitely want to take a bottle of water for the walk."
