"What a find, fantastic views and free!!!
It is quite a hike up and a clamber to get into the castle through a forced door but it is so worth the effort.
The walks in the woods are also great."

"This is an interesting walk. Although it is quite steep all the way, the path is excellent once you have managed to navigate all the dog mess near the beginning. The views of Cartagena are really splendid, looking over the port the naval base and the whole city.
The castle built in the late 1700s has plenty of ruins left. It is easy to walk around the outside but difficult to get into the main part of the building. It is not impossible though as one gate has been broken and it is possible to climb in and see the ruins inside. There are rooms to explore with 2 metre thick walls this was built to last. There is an information board just before you reach the summit the tells you about the castle so there's information at hand as you go up."

"Quite an interesting ride to the top. The climb is very steep but you’ll be rewarded with some of the best views of the city. I’d definitely recommend either walking or riding up early in the morning or when the weather is cooler; riding in the summer heat combined with such a steep climb isn’t a good idea!"
