"The Ciutadella Lighthouse, also known as the Sa Farola Lighthouse or Punta de Sa Farola Lighthouse, is an active 19th-century lighthouse.
Construction began in 1861, and it became operational on April 30, 1863. The lighthouse was designed by the architect Emili Pou, who planned several lighthouses in the Balearic Islands.
In 1918, it became the fourth lighthouse in the Balearic Islands to be electrified.
Due to its exposed position, the lighthouse has faced problems with waves, especially during storms, leading to seawater flooding the lower levels. To address this, a high concrete sea wall was built facing the open Mediterranean Sea."

"Zana also known as Faro sa Farola, a small lighthouse built in the 19th century that still works today. Lighthouse cannot be overlooked when entering the marina. Building is painted in characteristic vertical black and white stripes. These colors can be found in some of the lighthouses in this area, but as a vertical pattern it's only found in this one, why? That's a good question :). As a curiosity, the lantern is also used in some postage stamps in Spain."
