Sa Cova Tancada 📍 Mallorca . . ♥️ it’s a must! . . #cova #cave #cueva...

Sa Cova Tancada is a stunning natural cave reached via a challenging but rewarding hike along dramatic cliffs. "The stalactite cave "Sa Cova Tancada" should definitely be included in any hike on the Victoria Peninsula. The name translates roughly as "closed cave." The tour initially leads through a gently rolling landscape. As soon as we leave the forest, the path becomes rocky and continues increasingly steeply toward the cliffs. The view of the Bay of Alcudia is magnificent. We're in luck. The air is clear, and the houses on the opposite side of the bay are within reach. The entrance to the cave is inconspicuous and easy to miss. It lies about 10 meters above the water's surface. Near the entrance, the sound of the waves crashing against the cliffs can still be heard. Deep inside the cave, it is absolutely silent. There is no lighting. Immediately after a columned portal, the first stalactite formations can be seen. "Sa Cova Tancada" is an impressive cave. Natural limestone formations spread out in imposing shapes on the ceiling and floor. A trip that should not be missed.
Sturdy footwear and surefootedness are recommended for this hike.
The guided hike can be booked through "Active Alcudia," an outdoor activity organizer.
Estimated time: approximately 5 hours including breaks"

"Incredibly beautiful, but a somewhat complicated path; You can get close via the hiking trails towards Coll Baix and from there you have to walk off-road. Absolutely not suitable for people who are afraid of heights, as it takes at least 1 hour of hiking on the cliffs and mountains, but it's worth it. A good flashlight is needed and it's best to look online for the exact coordinates (because even with these it's a little difficult to find the entrance)."
