Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Quinta de Selgas, calling it an 'elegant, peaceful, and deeply moving' hidden gem. The immaculate gardens and well-preserved palace interiors are consistently praised, offering a beautiful glimpse into 19th-century life. While the no-photography rule inside and limited English information are noted drawbacks, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.

"€12 per adult to. There is parking right at it, just follow the small parking sign. You go on a very structured route around the gardens and house. The gardens are well maintained and with plenty of statues and vases to look at. The house and inside are in very good period condition. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to take photos with any kind of device inside the house or tapestry pavilion, also not in the school museum. In the gardens you can take photos as much as you want. My only negative view is that none of the information boards are in English. I had to use a translation app which didn't quite get the sentence structure correct. However, we did enjoy our visit."

"A true hidden gem in Asturias — elegant, peaceful, and deeply moving. This 19th-century house, with its blend of French and Italian styles, is full of quiet beauty: stunning floors, ornate ceilings, and a thoughtfully curated art collection.

But the gardens are what truly take your breath away — perfectly maintained, lovingly designed, and incredibly peaceful. You feel guided, not rushed, through every space.

What makes this place even more special is the heart behind it. The family’s decision to gift this estate to the town so others could enjoy it is rare and deeply generous. A legacy of beauty and care.

Highly recommended.
Jeff Bezos, take note."
