What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Punta Arabí Hippy Market offers a vibrant atmosphere with live music and diverse stalls, though some visitors find many items to be mass-produced rather than unique artisan crafts. While it captures a 'hippy vibe,' the authenticity of traditional hippies is debated. Visiting later in the day is recommended for a less crowded and more enjoyable experience.
"The market was exactly what I expected. Years of trading have obviously shaped how the shopping experience is coordinated. If you expect to be able to amble around at your own pace, forget it. The whole market has its own pace. Accept that you are not going to be able to pass on stalls that hold no interest for you. The market's slow pace ensures that the stalls get a proper investigation. I totally agree with the way the market has evolved.
The variety of goods available was exceptional. Unfortunately for me, there was a mass of similar stalls selling basically the same items.
It was an experience to actually visit the market. Hippies however, for me are long gone.
Good luck all the same.
We returned later in the afternoon and found the market considerably quieter. Compared to visiting at the busy time, ambling around was a joy. The photos posted were from our second visit of the day."

"I dont think theres many real hippies in Ibiza any more but for hippy vibes this is the market. What I loved was the various different music we heard pumping from some stalls & live too. This market is bigger than the other local hippy market and some stalls can be found at both. Got soaps, and beeswax candles a little cheaper than shops where we stayed. Especially loved the yogi & pressed flowers stall and trainers art 😊 I would have stayed a lot longer but one of us who hadn't been bitten by mozzies all week was badly bitten here. But the vibes yes- totally into it 🤍"

"A large portion of the stalls offered items that felt generic or mass-produced — more like a cluttered flea market than a place for unique artisan finds. There are some interesting pieces here and there, but in our opinion, it’s not really worth spending hours walking through it under the hot sun. Unless you’re very close or specifically interested, it’s probably not a must-see."
