What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally praise Selwo Aventura for its diverse animal collection and engaging layout, with many highlighting the family-friendly atmosphere and unique features like the hanging bridge. However, some note the park's hilly terrain and the cost of optional activities and food.
"Visited with my family this week. Fairly easy to find. We drove up from Higuerón and went through one road toll on the way there and two on the way back. Roughly €27 for all tolls. Lots of parking at the venue but you will be charged €5. We got our tickets in advance as part of the zoo/cable car and marine park deal. This saved us about €45 on the standard entrance fee to both the zoo and the cable car. Overall there are your usual shops and stalls around different areas in the park. The park itself covers quite a large area and I would suggest some good footwear as you will be doing a lot of walking. The park is very hilly which in the heat of the day can make it hard work. Staying hydrated is key. There are shaded areas around the park but most of the main walkways especially on the north side of the park are not shaded. Luckily there are water spray points to help cool you down. There is a good mix of animals around the park. The lake in the middle has a wooden rope bridge which is very cool. There are also trampolines for the kids and a zip line the runs across the entire lake. My kids loved the zip line which is an extra cost. Whilst we didn’t eat at the park the food venues served typical food which was priced as to be expected. A packed lunch saved us at least €60-80. We weren’t there that long about 2 hours all told. We didn't attend any talks or go on the safari. At the reduced rate we paid about €45 it was good value."

"A really nice experience overall – our child loved it! The place was very large, so it was great to walk around and see all the different animals. Parking was easy and cost €5 for the whole stay. Entry was around €29 for adults, a bit less for children. There were food and drinks available if you wanted. A really nice extra touch was the misting showers and cooling stations along the way – they were much appreciated!"

"What a lovely place to go for a Day out. I was pleasantly surprised on how clean it was and had such a selection of wild life. Love that there are some glass panels so you get to see the animals clearly. It can be quite a walk with some steep sections. I loved the suspension bridge we walked across which gave a beautiful view of the lake and grounds. We also got there round 10:30am incase it got too hot. You cannot take a picnic into the zoo but there are restaurants and vending machines of water and cool drinks you can select from. Toilets were clean 👍🏻 There is a Safari tour which you can go on at an extra cost, we didn’t but still managed to see the animals on our walk around. On the whole I would definitely recommend this place for a Day out, with or without children 👍🏻"
