"Interesting defensive fortification set above the ocean, not far from heart of old Finisterre. Dates back to 18th century, the classic Fortaleza is now a charming fishing museum. While visiting the museum I encountered two docents, both very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Luckily my camino-partner speaks Spanish and I got key elements explained for me when necessary. Both guides were passionate and engaging, being humorous and asking questions of us all. Lots of "teachable' moments and laughter. The displays inside were fantastic too -- it's sort of interactive. I came away with a fair amount of know of the"old ways/days" of Finisterre's still important industry (the day's catch is auctioned daily just down the wharf) and was entertained too. Later we saw one of our guides while having a beer; he stopped and chatted with us and gave us more local history -- he's the son of a fisherman and former fisherman himself (I suspected both based on his detailed knowledge and passion). Also a great raconteur and speaker in general. Thank you, Manuel (and your fine colleague), for making our visit to the Castelo (and Finisterre) even more special."

"A very small castle that was turned into a fishing museum. It totally worth visiting and listening to what the guides have to say about the way of life of people from the area and their habits. I found it really interesting and fruitful."
