Reviews Summary

Visitors appreciate the Palacio de los Córdova as a free, tranquil escape with beautiful gardens and views of the Alhambra. While some lament the limited access to interior rooms due to its function as an archive, the overall experience is considered a worthwhile, peaceful visit away from the main tourist crowds.

"This Palace was built in the 15th century for Luis Fernández de Córdova at the foot of Alhambra hill. The palace was dismantled and reconstructed in 60's of previous century. It combines the Islamic and Renaissance style with beautiful gardens and fountains. Unfortunately, not the whole building was accessible for visitors. All rooms are closed. I understood that this palace is used by the municipality to store their archive. What a waste. I hope they can reconsider using this peace of art in a better way to praise the glory of the history.
It was a short trip but brings back the memories of the beautiful past."

However, the current structure is a reconstruction from the 1960s, meticulously rebuilt after the original was dismantled. This process aimed to preserve its unique blend of Islamic and Renaissance architectural styles, a testament to Granada's layered past. Reddit

While the palace's historical significance is undeniable, it's important to note that it currently serves as a municipal archive. This means that not all interior rooms are accessible to the public, which some visitors find to be a missed opportunity. Nevertheless, the preserved exterior and gardens offer a glimpse into its former grandeur. Reddit

It's a wonderful place to capture memorable photos and appreciate the surrounding landscape. InstagramReddit
