I was fortunate to have Vicente as my guide, the archaeologist who has been uncovering the mysteries of this place for 25 years. He not only shares his knowledge in an engaging way but also in a fun way, which is greatly appreciated.
What impressed me most was the 1st-century BC Roman well. Although it is no longer in its original location, it appears to be so due to the care and effort put into moving it, stone by stone, for the delight and enjoyment of those who visited this site.
It also features a late Roman necropolis, remains of a Roman road, Islamic buildings, and a large prehistoric hydraulic system that continues to influence the paths of groundwater in the area to this day.
