Reviews Summary

While the Jerez de la Frontera Railway Station offers impressive architecture and serves as a gateway to Andalusia, navigating its ticketing and platform system can be confusing and stressful for travelers. Some visitors have experienced unhelpful staff and issues with train availability, while others have found the Renfe staff to be friendly and accommodating. Reddit

"Beware the trains you HAVE to pre book for .. but enjoy the railway architecture!

So the 1015 train was perfect for our "one stop hop" to the airport. I could see it on the app and I could buy a ticket.... except that was earlier in the week. The night before I went to book and it was sold out as it was the Cádiz to Seville train.

Note that tickets on the local stopping services to Cadiz are cheaper and reservation free... but are a bit erratic in terms of whether they go to the airport or not.

As for the railway architecture ... worth a visit even if you are not travelling."

"I've got a decent amount of experience with transit in Europe and spain in particular and this was one of the worst experiences. Impeccably confusing for absolutely no reason. Either buy your tickets ahead and get there early, or get there with at least an hour before your train to buy tickets there. Inexplicably confusing and staff was basically useless until I insisted they run me through the process so I could come back the next day after missing my train. Not sure how taking a bus to and from smaller towns was so much easier. When they were yelling at me for something else the security guard aggressively grabbed my purse rather than talking to me like a human. I felt very intimidated"

Madison Bishop

"Very friendly Renfe staff who personally went across the station with me to solve an issue I had with the gates on the platforms."
