Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the stunning natural beauty of Garganta de los Infiernos, particularly the unique Los Pilones rock pools, calling it a must-see in the Jerte Valley. While the hike is generally manageable, some find the mosquitoes intense in summer and advise against the on-site restaurant.

"This (free) place is just fantastic for a super fun day during your summer rural holidays around the west countryside part of Spain, or for locals seeking a fresh splash and cool down the heat.
Natural pools are accessible after a 40 min walk up the mountain from the car park (there are a few car parks being some of them free; I paid 5€ for the one I picked). The walking trail ain’t too difficult but a bit steep sometimes.
Water is cold, clear and clean. Lots of spots to settle yourself in and enjoy nature.
Please respect the area and keep it clean by taking your rubbish home."

"I Expectacular"

"We've been to this place about six times now, a must-see if you visit the Jerte Valley. It's a place you must see with your own eyes. The photos are beautiful, but nothing beats actually seeing it and, if you can, getting into the water and enjoying a nice swim. The ideal time to go is early, around 8 or 9 in the morning, when it's cooler and, above all, there are fewer people.
I don't know what was happening this year, but the number of mosquitoes along the way was unbearable. I hope it's just a one-time occurrence."
