Reviews Summary

Visitors find the drive to the Centro de Visitantes Torre del Vinagre to be a highlight, with the sequoia trees and botanical gardens offering natural beauty. However, the exhibits are noted as dated and primarily in Spanish, and facilities like restrooms can sometimes be closed, impacting the overall visitor experience.

"Boring. The trip to it, on the other hand, is wonderful. Take your car, and enjoy the twisty roads through the national park."

".

A very good - and free - information centre, with good lavatories and an excellent shop.

It only gets 4 stars, however, as there is hardly any information in English, (apart from the labels on the stuffed "Dear" in the exhibition hall), and because the excellent displays are showing their age.

Handles missing so the moving exhibits don't work, out-of-focus telescopes, missing bits here and there - when it was new and pristine it would have been so much better than it is now.

But it is still well worth a visit - if you can understand Spanish. And the Botanical gardens opposite are worth a visit for keen gardeners. Or just for those who want a nice peaceful bench to sit on for a while.

"I understand that we have COVID and the cafeteria was closed, but this is a tourist attraction, and the bathrooms are closed? Lots of families were stopping there to see the interesting exhibits, but it was hard to get pass the fact that no-one could use the bathroom. Doesn’t make any sense."
