Reviews Summary

Reviews for Lago de las Medranas are mixed, with many visitors noting the reservoir is frequently dry due to agricultural and golf course water usage. While it historically offered good birdwatching and fishing, the inconsistent water levels and summer cable ski operations can detract from the experience.

"There is no water, the lake is drying up"

Наталья Рожкова

"Built in 1884 by the company that owns the San Pedro agricultural colony, the Medranas Reservoir has a capacity of 0.329 hm3, a surface area of 9.8 hectares, and a watershed area of 5.5 km2. Water is supplied by the Chopo, Zangarilla, and Capitán streams, as well as irrigation ditches.
Surrounded by farmland and residential developments, it is a good place to watch birds such as herons, ducks, and cormorants.
Unfortunately, the reservoir is occupied by a cable ski, which, when in operation during the summer months, scares birds away from the reservoir."

Emilio romero

"The nearby golf course is drying up the reservoir; the water has been stolen, and now it's dry..."
