From the church area, we descend the La Fragua staircase to the port, a very picturesque descent between white houses and cobblestone streets, with constant views of the sea.

"We saw it in passing, cycling up to the Hermitage and the San Roque viewpoint.
It caught our attention due to its unique beauty.
A Site of Cultural Interest, declared a Historic-Artistic Monument in 1986, it is located on a slight rise, next to the old town and overlooking the port and the Cantabrian Sea.
A true architectural gem from the 18th century with a strong Neoclassical and Baroque presence. Its tower, main altarpiece, and the Crucifix are essential artistic references. It is a symbol of Lastres' religious heritage, located in an evocative setting by the sea.
A visit highly recommended."

"We went to the upper part to see the San Roque viewpoint. Before arriving, I saw this church, noted it, and after descending from the viewpoint, we went to see the church. We saw the exterior of the building, which consists of a single nave with a dome over transepts and two side chapels with groin vaults. It has two side porches. The large bell tower, which can be seen from afar, stands out on the exterior. The church was built in the 18th century."
