What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Iglesia de San Martín for its beautiful renovations, impressive organ, and rich altarpieces, offering a serene atmosphere for reflection. While the church itself is highly regarded, a few reviews mention negative experiences with a staff member, though these are generally outweighed by the positive aspects of the visit and the welcoming nature of the parish. Its location in the vibrant Húmedo neighborhood adds to its appeal.
"I was there this morning. It's a super pretty church. The girl who was there gave us a free tour, which was much appreciated. It's a beautiful place. The images are gorgeous, and the organ is impressive. It has everything: beautiful altarpieces, images, a very large dome... The only thing I didn't like was an awkward moment when two drunk women came in, acting silly, and started insulting and yelling at the guide when she told them to behave. Anyway, we're left with the positives, thanks ✨🩷."

"A beautiful parish church near the Húmedo neighborhood where my maternal grandparents were married. It has a beautiful organ and is well worth a visit. Mass is held on Sundays at 1:00 p.m., and the parish priest is very pleasant. I recommend you visit and explore it."

"I love the church because I have been seeing it for 40 years and I usually go in to light a candle, what I did not like is the brunette girl who today Thursday August 21 was sitting with the computer and when I went to leave she told me that I am a scoundrel and have no education and she insulted me when the only thing I have done as always is go in to light some candles. To work there I think you have to have a little education and empathy, which that woman does not have. I can go in crying and laughing however I want because it is everyone's house, she is nobody to tell me how to go in, and on top of that she calls my attention for no reason because there were people like me lighting candles and she did not say anything to them. The church is wonderful and beautiful. I put the stars for the church that has nothing to do with that person."
