What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning views from Lorca Castle's towers and the beauty of its gardens. The helpfulness of the staff and the option for evening events with music are frequently highlighted positives. However, some note the challenging terrain and limited opening hours for tower access.
"The castle is majestic from the approach, it is a steep walk up from the car park. There are 3 main areas which are accessed at fixed times in order for the guide to facilitate your seeing them. The Jewish quarter and synagogue are within the grounds of the Parador, it was the construction work for the hotel which triggered their discovery. If you just want to walk round the grounds it's free . There is a nice cafe, lots of children's play things and a giant chess game. The sjop sells great T shirts, but only for children."

"Gorgeous place to visit, stroll through the garden and stop at the Cafe for a drink soaking up the views. To get into the towers it costs 10 euro per person or just walk through the grounds for free. Have to say we'll worth the 10 euros."
Andy Holmes
"This castle had some great history and a good walking tour via a fre app.
The castle itself is basically a walled area on top of a hill overlooking the surrounding areas. So views are fantastic. However, if you are expecting more buildings to wander around, you will be disappointed. There are a fee towers that have been reconstructed, but there is a cost to enter them. Entry to the grounds and cafe is free."
