Reviews Summary

Los Charcones is praised for its stunning, crystal-clear natural pools and unique volcanic scenery, offering a beautiful escape. However, many visitors highlight the difficult and potentially dangerous access, warning against visiting with children and noting the need for sturdy footwear and careful navigation due to sharp rocks and tides.

"Gorgeous natural pools with crystal clear water - definitely one of the highlights of the island!
The place is easy to find. I would recommend to leave your car at the parking and walk about 25 minutes to the cliff. Then you will need good sneakers and relative dexterity to walk the rocky cliff for about 10 minutes. Definitely worth it it though!
I would not recommend with children."

Nathalie A.

"The worst decision of our trip. The place is hidden, and it’s almost impossible to get close by car without damaging it. After parking, you have to cross dangerous, wet volcanic rock. My girlfriend slipped and ended up covered in cuts from the sharp rocks. The tide can completely cover the path, making it truly dangerous. Other than that, nothing special: the “pool,” if you can even call it that, lives up to its name — it’s little more than a puddle, which is why the locals gave it that name "charcones". The pictures are heavily Photoshopped."

"Well it is a walk and a trek down but it is a fantastic tidal pool with lovely warm crystal clear water. Do not come if you are not able to clamber over boulders"
