What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Mercado Municipal Lugo to be a clean and traditional market with good products at fair prices. While some noted a number of unoccupied stalls, those who visited during market days enjoyed the variety of fresh produce, meats, and especially the local cheeses. It's considered a typical, yet recommended, city market experience.
"A nice, clean, rather basic mercado. I was disappointed at how many of the stalls were unoccupied when I visited."

"Walking through the city we find this market, it is located near the Provincial Museum. A peculiar construction on 2 levels, the lowest one we could define as semi-basement, in it we saw street stalls, that is, farmers and suppliers in the area sell their products directly several times a week. At the top or high part is the main part of this market, from what I could see while walking through it, it is quite complete (fruits, fish, seafood, meats, vegetables and a wide variety of cheeses), how could it be that I bought some cheese to try."
