Reviews Summary

Casa Lucio is celebrated for its authentic, traditional Spanish cuisine and historic ambiance, with many praising its signature egg dishes, garlic shrimp, and suckling pig. However, some diners have noted inconsistent service and found the 'huevos estrellados' to be less exceptional than other offerings.

"We tried this famed Madrid restaurant while we were there last week. We could see them shaving jamon (Spanish Ham) through the window and it did not disappoint. Our favorite was the Gambas Al Ajillo. The waiter called them prawns so I was expecting large shrimp. While these were just tiny shrimp they were delicious! They arrived sizzling in a small crock of oil and garlic. We also dipped our bread in this which you get a large portion of. The suckling pig was also great. The skin was crispy and the meat was perfectly tender. Skip the Huevos estrellados. It's one of their signature dishes but it's basically just runny eggs and fries and you can get that elsewhere in the city. The service was not good. I think they forgot about us as we were at a small table in the entryway. We had to keep moving our chairs so they could get bottles of wine. I'm guessing this is not the norm but that was our experience. Food was great though!"

"Traditional, delicious Spanish food! 💛

If you’re looking for proper traditional dishes in a cozy, authentic atmosphere, this is a great spot. The huevos con chistorra were amazing, and they even had gambas al ajillo off the menu, which were also delicious.

I’ll definitely be coming back."

"I was recommended to go here by Spanish. The restaurant was almost full of people. The atmosphere is good. The food is meant to be shared like most other places in Madrid and I went alone. I was not a big fan of the food. I got a plain salad, which was good, but pricy, an almond chicken stew, and a traditional desert that I do not remember the name of. Service was alright I think."
