Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Espacio Fundación Telefónica for its engaging and often free exhibitions, particularly highlighting photography shows like the William Klein retrospective. The venue is appreciated for its contribution to Madrid's cultural scene and its accessibility. Some visitors note that exhibition content can be more geared towards adults, and checking specific event details is recommended.

"I visited the museum with my 16-year-old son, who has a strong interest in technology, and we were both impressed. The exhibits showcase the evolution of technology over the years, with fascinating items such as vintage telephones and computer processors from different eras, all presented in an attractive and engaging way. The detailed information panels are clear and well-designed, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. We spent about two hours exploring and reading every display with google translate. The top floor featured beautiful exhibits and well-presented scientific summaries, and the interdisciplinary approach added an extra layer of depth to the visit."

"Why is nobody talking about this place? Right off Gran Vía, Espacio Fundación Telefónica is an absolute must-visit — and somehow still feels like a hidden gem. It’s the perfect spot to escape the city’s hustle while diving into thought-provoking and beautifully curated exhibitions.

We visited the Jaume Plensa exhibit and were completely blown away. Spread over 8 rooms, the lighting, layout, and overall atmosphere were stunning. His work speaks for itself, and the experience ends with a short video about his life that ties it all together in a meaningful way.

Just when we thought it couldn’t get better, we headed one floor up to the ocean exhibition. The digital displays are mesmerizing — soothing blues, vibrant marine life, and immersive experiences that calm your mind. Don’t miss the interactive speaker stations where you can listen to humpback whales and dolphins! It’s fun, educational, and great for all ages.

Whether you have 30 minutes or 2 hours, it’s worth your time. And bonus: there’s a lovely café at the top — a perfect spot to relax and reflect.

Seriously, if you’re in Madrid and near Gran Vía, don’t miss it. It’s free, inspiring, and a beautiful reminder of how art and technology can come together to move you."

"An excellent foundation right in the city center, with rotating exhibitions that are always of a very high level. Entry is free, and it’s usually not too crowded."
