Reviews Summary

Visitors are drawn to the Reina Sofía for its iconic masterpieces like Picasso's 'Guernica' and its extensive Surrealist collection. However, many reviews express disappointment due to significant portions of the museum being closed for renovations, often without a corresponding price reduction. Some also report challenges with ticket staff and language barriers.

"Although there were a few exhibits open, when we arrived, over half of the museum was closed for renovations and updates: the 0 and 4th levels were closed as well as a handful of other exhibits and temporary exhibits, which was extremely disappointing. Since the 1st floor is mainly information/toilets/lockers and the 3rd floor is only the terrace, there was not even a full floor available to view. Although there were some beautiful Dali pieces and I enjoyed the surrealism, I would not have gone knowing we couldn't see over half of the museum at full price.."

Elizabeth Schoenenberger

"Leaving my review of the museum here as they shut off reviews. 75% of the museum is closed so not worth it to go until the other three floors open. And they still charge you full price for a ticket. They had a couple of pieces of their more famous art on display so 2/5"

Justin

"Terrible people at the ticket service! I am a student gor a long time and I have literally every document that I need to show so. They did everything in thier power to not let me in for free. Was increbily racist too. No one speaks english there and they just continue to speak spanish loudly in your face with no care or so."
