Reviews Summary

Madrid Puerta de Atocha-Almudena Grandes is praised for its stunning tropical garden and impressive historic architecture, offering a unique visual experience. However, some visitors find the station's layout confusing and the crowds overwhelming, particularly during peak times. Navigating ticket machines and finding platforms can also be challenging for some.

"Complete bullshit. Metro attendant made me buy a €2.50 euro card along with a €1.50 euro ticket that didn't even work!

Turns out he directed me to the wrong machine and the correct machine didn't even make me buy a card. €4 completely wasted

Don't use these machines if you want to catch a C train."

Ryan Catling

"I did not travel from a place to another, so I can not tell much about staff or way of organizing. I just came here to visit this impressive place. Arrivals and departures are totally separated so this helps a bit, yet both part were very crowded. The main station is just a tropical paradise (with according temperature)"

Alexandra Tomulescu

"Huge train station. There is metro accessibility to this station. We used the Renfe service to Toledo and Bareclona and both were great. Fairly Clean station premises. The washrooms accessible to public is a paid only and the ones inside the waiting area at the platform is free. There are seats available for waiting for your trains if your early. Couple of cafes available inside if you would like to eat."
