Reviews Summary
Retiro Park is overwhelmingly loved for its beauty, tranquility, and diverse attractions, from the stunning Palacio de Cristal to the fun boat rentals. Visitors appreciate its vast green spaces for relaxation and recreation. Some find it can get crowded on weekends, and navigating its size can be a challenge for those with limited time.
"I visited El Retiro Park park on the 13th of July. This was my second visit to the park. I first visited this park in December 2024. I experienced the beauty of this park in winter as well as during the summer. This is truly a beautiful park, a calm escape from the bustling city. The sculpture gardens, the rose garden, the great pond is all worth visiting when in this park. Feeding the ducks and turtles in the pond was so amazing. The entire park filled with its greenery is beyond imagination. The most amazing part is that this park was opened to public in 1868 and until this day, the beauty of this park has remained intact! Such a well-maintained park, giving you a feeling of ease, comfort and happiness. I missed boating in December but made it a point to rent a boat for boating this time when I was there. Such an amazing experience to row a boat on your own. It is a great place for families and friends to meet up and have a quiet picnic there with their loved ones. I highly recommend visiting this park when in Madrid!"

"An oasis in the city with lots of trees, birds, water and trail for anyone who love to be close to nature. I particularly like the interesting trees in different shapes. There is a water park for boating riding. What a treat to have experience this park feeling both the vibrant and serene energy of Madrid."

"Absolutely beautiful park. We rented e-bikes and rode all through the park. It was hot while we were in Madrid, it was 38°C (close to 100°F), so spending the day riding around the park was welcomed. The cover of all the trees made it manageable. So many things to see. Very clean park. Lots of dogs on leash. No dog poop, which means responsible dog owners. 👍🏻 I will definitely be back!"
