What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise Madrid's independent boutiques for their unique selection of Spanish streetwear and the passionate, helpful staff who offer great insights into local designers. However, some shoppers have reported negative experiences with customer service, particularly regarding return policies and misleading information about exchanges.
"I really like this store in Madrid! Definitely worth a visit if you are into streetwear. They have an amazing selection of Spanish independent brands. And the guys are really cool and helpful"
Cindy Goudsblom
"Very poor customer service! I visited the shop and was hesitant with a purchase of a sweater, so I asked the cashier if they accepted returns if I changed my mind later. He said yes, so I bought the sweater. Later that same day, I went back to the store and tried to return the sweater, and the same cashier told me I wasn’t allowed to. He said all I could do was switch out my sweater with a different color or another piece of clothing in the store. I expressed how he had lied to me and he claimed he had no way of giving me back the money even if he wanted to because he “just works there”. I asked to speak to his manager and he claimed the only way I could do so was to come back to the store on a future date when the manager would be there, even though I am going out of town before that day. He didn’t even give me any contact information to contact the manager and I couldn’t find anything useful on their website or Instagram. Extremely poor customer service and the cashier lied to me, WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! The cashier was even making rude statements to me, laughing at me and telling me to “just think next time” with regard to how I bought a sweater and tried to return it the same day. The store has a cool concept, but the customer service is tragic."

"Ok, this place may be trendy, and I appreciate the support of independent artists, but I cannot recommend the boutique. Namely, if you’re looking for jewelry, the proprietor is not a very experienced salesmen, despite offering a variety of jewelry in addition to clothing. I purchased a bracelet, and the standard sizing that any jewelry store does was not offered. Instead, I was assured that I could go to “any watch or jewelry shop” around to get it resized, which turned out to be quite mistaken. After an hours-long search of every such shop in the barrio, only one could adjust the bracelet, and it was more expensive than he said it would be to do so. And beware, there aren’t money-back returns."
