What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for Six Senses Spa Puente Romano are mixed, with many praising the beautiful facilities, tranquil Mediterranean ambiance, and unique wet zone, especially during morning hours. However, some guests found the treatments to be underwhelming for the high price point, and a few noted issues with temperature control in the sauna and jacuzzi. The spa offers a luxurious experience, but value for money can be subjective.
"I came here for a massage. It was a different kind of massage where the specialist told me I was a "wind" person, and she used certain oils to calm me down. However, she guided me on how to breathe deeply 🙏 I really appreciate it.
But the €200 was not worth the 50-minute massage. I don't think I will do it again."

"The only thing I like is the wet zone it such an experience especially in the morning time with the sun light.. so you can just get the pass for it, cuz the massage and other body treatments was so boring and below expectations, I would go there again just because of the wet zone"

"Avoid!!
1) their sauna is set to 92 degrees Celcius (200 Fahrenheit) which way too hot, it is against any health and safety rules. Apart from the immediate acute negative effects, it is now proven that such high temperatures may lead to build up of amyloid deposits in brain which lead to dementia and Alzheimer’s.
2) their jacuzzi is absolutely freezing. You are going there to warm up, yet it’s absolutely cold.
Both these issues were discussed with the team and their response is that that’s what it is, I.e. it wasn’t just an error on that day. That’s just how they keep it."

The Six Senses Spa Experience: Beyond the Treatment
The wet zone is a particular highlight, especially in the morning when sunlight streams in, enhancing the serene ambiance. Guests rave about this area, with some suggesting it's worth visiting even if treatments don't fully meet expectations. The spa also offers an authentic Mediterranean Hammam experience, complete with a Black Soap Ritual, drawing on centuries-old traditions for deep purification and rejuvenation.
While the spa is undeniably luxurious, it's important to note that it comes with a premium price tag. Reviews suggest that while the facilities are beautiful and clean, the value for money can vary depending on individual expectations for treatments. However, the overall sensory journey and the unique wellness philosophy are consistently praised, making it a memorable experience for those seeking indulgence and relaxation.
Navigating the Wet Zone and Facilities
However, some guests have noted specific issues with the temperature settings in certain facilities. One review mentioned the sauna being set at an unusually high temperature (92°C / 200°F), which they found uncomfortable and potentially concerning from a health perspective. Conversely, the jacuzzi was described as being 'absolutely freezing,' which contradicts the purpose of a warm, relaxing soak.
Despite these isolated concerns, the overall cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the spa are generally well-regarded. If you plan to visit, it might be beneficial to inquire about the current temperature settings for the sauna and jacuzzi beforehand or be prepared to provide feedback to the staff if they don't meet your expectations for a comfortable experience.
