"After years of closure due to the 2016 earthquake, the Church of the Immaculate Conception in the Old City has reopened its doors.
During these years, the earthquake damage has been restored and repaired. Excavations have also been carried out underground, revealing crypts and burial sites.
Victoria, our guide, has been a wonderful host, providing excellent information.
The church is empty of altarpiece images, and only a Pietà remains.
