What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Montgarri Sanctuary is lauded for its breathtaking location and welcoming atmosphere, offering delicious, reasonably priced Pyrenean food. While some find the french fry portions small, the overall experience, especially the scenic journey and the unique chapel, makes it a highly recommended destination for families and nature lovers alike.
"Good spot to have a drink and a meal. Lunches starts at around 1pm. Huge salads, good sausages (although a bit too fatty) and too small portions of french fries. Still recommended, because of the amazing location!"
Gabriel Jorby
"Awesome place with a great atmosphere and a very friendly staff. Good food at very reasonable prices. They do not take reservations. Highly recommendable."
Jordi R. Puxench
"This spot is one of the best trips for anyone in Vall d'Aran even with kids. You can depart from Beret parking then there is a unpaved road who takes you to the Refugi. The path goes on one side of the river and you can come back to the parking using the other road. On winter time you can use rackets or better nordic skis to go there. Don't miss the small chapel, is the highest chapel in Spain. If you plan to eat there better get a reservation. Staff are very helpful."
