Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Eagle Aqueduct a beautiful and historically interesting site, especially when viewed from the adjacent bridge. While not a place for extended stays, it's a worthwhile quick stop for photos and to appreciate its impressive 19th-century architecture and functional design. Some note it's a pleasant part of walks from the Nerja Caves.

"Must see.

These is a beautiful easy walking path with fantastic views. Starting in nerja caves to nerja beaches, which really passes by the aqueduct.

The aqueduct was under restoration in 2010 and looks fantastic

Path also goes along the maro fabric and beautifully takes you to the beach"

Anna

"We had a quick stop in one of the lay-by stops on either side of the adjacent bridge. This site is really easy to photograph and not an overcrowded tourist spot"

Mornay Korkie (LondonTraveler)

"We stopped to picture this on the walk back down from the caves and also from the tourist train. Constructed in the 19th century, the aqueduct was built to transport water from the Maro River to the nearby San Joaquín sugar mill. It consists of four levels of arches, totalling 37 arches, and stands approximately 40 meters tall and 90 meters wide. The aqueduct is still in use today, supplying water for local irrigation."
