What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the O Porriño Town Hall as a beautifully designed architectural masterpiece by Antonio Palacios, often calling it one of Galicia's most beautiful town halls. However, some reviews note a lack of consistent aesthetic harmony in the town's urban landscape, with a mix of well-preserved and less-maintained areas. Concerns have also been raised regarding local parking accessibility for those with reduced mobility.
"Beautifully designed Council by Galician architect Antonio Palacios."
Mark Auchincloss
"Of the little beauty of the town, along with the subway portico also designed by Antonio Palacios, the pedestrian arcades and the few Indian-style houses, a harmonious aesthetic is not maintained, rather it seems like a meaningless urban hodgepodge, the majority are houses in ruins next to mammoths and unfinished buildings. It could be a beautiful villa like many in Spain but it doesn't seem to be of interest. A great shame."
Alex Sueiro
"More local police officers are needed, as it is impossible to use the reduced mobility parking space in Torneiros, at CEIP da Ribeira and Instituto Ribeiralouro because people park without accreditation and there are not enough police officers at the entrance and exit times of these schools, 8:55 a.m. and 1:55 p.m. I believe that the mayor and those responsible for management should take this into account and take action, since no one seems to think about the most vulnerable, and being more empathetic is in everyone's hands!"
