Entrance is only via guided tour. 6 tours offered a day.. I went for the one at 1130am. Note this place is only open in weekends I believe. Cost is 2.50 euro.
Also note the tour is only in Spanish. But the nice lady at the ticket counter who also gives the tour.. Speaks good English."

"I don't like the traditional bull fighting which is very popular in Andalucia, but I do like to have a look into that same tradition without actually seeing the actual show.
The areana itself is beautiful, really authentic. The entrance fare is only €2, for that price you get a tour from a really enthusiastic lady and afterwards you can spend time to wander around freely.
Nice to know is that this arena is used to film a scene of the 5th season of the HBO show 'The Game of Thrones'. The villagers themselves were the extra's during the shooting and are very proud of that.
It's good to take notice that the arena is open for visits only on Saturdays and Sundays (in September at least), and remember that in Spain people take siesta."

"A detour from the main highway to Madrid. We went hoping to see this famous game of thrones destination, ie pits of merie(don't know if that's correct spelling) . However it's only open on public holidays and Sundays.. other than these days only if some performance or bull game is being played. I could only click pictures from outside."
