Located on the gorgeous Costa Brava, only an hour and a half by bus from Barcelona, this medieval town has it all. Amazing restaurants, great swimming beaches, and stunning architecture. Just hop on a Moventis bus from Barcelona Arc de Triumf or take the R1 train to Blanes and then the public bus. #costabrava #tossademar #thingstodoinbarcelona #barcelona #spaintravelguide

Platja de S'Abanell is praised for its stunning clear waters, abundant fish, and the iconic Sa Palomera rock. However, visitors note the lack of amenities like toilets and showers, the pebble-like sand, and the water's rapid depth increase, making it less ideal for families with young children.

"Very nice beach,
yes, there is no WC or shower unfortunately.
Deep starts from the begining, doesnt suit for Kids. On The beach are Tiny pebbles, not sand.
But very clear Water, lots of fishes and you can see your legs even when its 2 metres deep."

Ceren Kiremitçioğlu

"I don't know how so many people speak highly of this beach; maybe as it got worse over the years. This time I visited was definitely the last. All the showers were removed, there were no public toilets, the beach was narrow and steep, you can only walk a few metres into the water before you couldn't touch the ground anymore, and the sand was rather rough..."
