What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Playa de Castilnovo is praised for its stunning natural beauty, expansive sandy shores, and tranquil atmosphere, making it ideal for peaceful walks and watersports. However, the lack of facilities and occasional accessibility challenges are noted drawbacks.
"Conil boasts over 14 km of stunning beaches, yet not a single meter is officially open for dogs. This is unacceptable.
Dogs need exercise, freedom, and stimulation — and the beach is one of the best places to give them that. Running, sniffing, playing in the sand and water are not luxuries; they are part of a healthy, happy life for our pets.
What’s worse is that, even when we go to the most remote, empty areas and avoid peak times, we are still chased away or fined. It feels as though our pets are treated as a problem instead of as part of our families and our community.
There is more than enough space here to share. With clear rules and mutual respect, dogs and people can coexist on these beaches without conflict. It’s time for Conil to adopt a fair, modern policy and stop excluding responsible dog owners."
